This would never happen if teachers, caretakers, support staff and passing pedestrians were armed to the teeth.

This, from the BBC report, sums it up for me.

'The death toll makes this the deadliest school shooting since the one in February at Parkland, Florida.'

Not 1997, or 2005, but February.

No doubt Trump will blame the Lilly livered teachers who should have taken the shooter out with an AK47 that was put in the stationary cupboard for use in such an event.

sadly, sink in your own shit.

Condolences to the families, RIP to the slaughtered.

They will never learn + Texas, I think, is the biggest advocate of the NRA..

If it wasn't so sad it would be fucking laughable.

It's just life in the good 'ole Wild West: I'm sure that Trump supporters take a certain pride in seeing that aspect of it.

if you look at TheDonald thread on reddit they are claiming its a "false flag" because gun control talks have died down again

After Sandy Hook we said never again. And then we let 1,686 mass shootings happen.

Re: Texas school shooting - multiple fatalities
Yeah, but it's still in the Wild West days there. 2nd amendment was passed when you had to rod a gun with gunpowder. No semi-automatics in those days.

Re: Texas school shooting - multiple fatalities
To put the record straight, Obama tried to introduce laws to calm things down, but the NRA lobby is very strong. The Republican Party just love their guns, so don't ever expect any improvement under a Trump Republican presidency!

GOP congress.

Republicans see it, alongside abortion, as a wedge issue that can convince stupid people to vote for tax cuts for the rich.
